PDADMAC Drilling Fluid Additive
Cationic polyelectrolyte that stabilises clay, flocculates solids and improves mud rheology.
Overview
PDADMAC is a strongly cationic polyelectrolyte used in drilling fluids, where it takes on several jobs at once. Its positive charge adsorbs onto and flocculates negatively charged clay particles, so it acts as a clay stabiliser and flocculant while also improving mud rheology.
